Thank you! Once again your activism had impact! Last week we asked you to contact your legislators through the RTS system and you successfully convinced the House and Senate Judiciary Committees to approve both HB 2119 (automatic restoration of civil rights for 1st time and non-violent offenders) and SB 1125 (affirming the right to possess and transport firearms) Keep up the great work! Upcoming Hearings Please log into the RTS system this week and enter your "For" vote on the following bills which will be heard this week: HB 2166  would except firearms and firearm safety equipment from transaction privilege (sales) tax (House Ways & Means Committee, Wednesday 2/2/22 at 9:00 AM).   Urge FL Senate President Simpson to act! “We support constitutional carry statutes and salute the states that have passed them.” – Republican National Committee Platform We're tired of waiting. We're tired of hearing empty promises and accepting compromises by politicians. We're tired of donor money from the likes of Al Hoffman and Mike Fernandez, who benefit from gated communities and private security, standing in the way of the Constitution. We're tired of seeing constitutional and open carry bills dying in committee not by anti-gun Democrats’ actions, but by allegedly pro-constitution Republican inactions. In short, we're tired of seeing the right to keep and bear arms in Florida relegated to a mere licensed privilege. It’s time to move on. There simply is  no valid reason  for the citizens of Florida be deprived of exercising the right to keep and bear arms as a true right. Only days ago, Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia publicly endorsed constitutional carry.

And you could help Florida become the 22nd state to adopt permitless carry – a situation that will benefit you whenever you vacation at one of the state’s sunny beaches!  But I'll let GOA’s Florida State Director Luis Valdes explain below how you can help.  Thank you so much.  Erich Pratt  Senior Vice President  Gun Owners of America  --------------------------------------------------- Hello Everyone:  Florida is at a crucial point. We have a Republican supermajority in the legislature with a pro-gun governor at the helm. Yet, Constitutional Carry is languishing. The constant excuse that many so-called pro-gun Republicans tell me is that the tourism industry would be harmed if Florida passed Constitutional Carry. You know that is a lie and so do I.  As Gun Owners of America's Florida State
