Dear Friend, Because lawmakers have been struggling to finalize district maps, the Ohio Primary Election will be divided into two separate elections. The first will be on May 3, and the second on August 2. The second Primary is being referred to as a "Special Election." Read our explainer article here for details . It's vital that you understand what's going on and that you VOTE YOUR RIGHTS. Don't let the confusion deter you from making your voice heard. As of today, we've released our  grades and endorsements  for U.S. Senate, statewide races, Ohio Supreme Court, and Court of Appeals. We will soon add U.S. House and other races.   2022 Candidate Surveys The results of our 2022 candidate surveys are now available on our website. https://www.oregonfirearms.org/2022-oregon-primary-election-candidate-ratings We think you'll agree that Oregon needs a radical change of direction and leadership if this state is to survive. It's a safe bet that the only reason the riots have abated is because it's election time and the Democrats have put the word out to their street thugs to back off until after the votes are in. Oregon Democrats are working overtime to reward criminals and punish anyone who actually contributes to society. Oregon Republicans are doing all they can to assist in the destruction of our state through complicity and inaction. As usual, many candidates refused to go on record. In fact, the same Republican "leadership" who asked for endorsements and money in the last election cycle are now warning Republican candidates  to refuse to respond  to our survey. Our results will let you know

  Last week we informed you that two important bills had been heard in the Senate Finance Committee,  HB 2166  and  HB 2473 .  HB 2166  passed out of that committee with an amendment and moved on to the Senate Appropriations Committee, while  HB 2473  was reassigned to the Senate Appropriations Committee, which heard both bills last Tuesday, March 29th. HB 2166  was passed by the Senate Appropriations Committee and will next go to the Senate Rules Committee. The bill would exempt firearms and firearms safety equipment from transaction privilege (sales) taxes. After struggling in the Senate Finance Committee the previous week,  HB 2473  also passed out of the Appropriations Committee and is headed to the Rules Committee. The bill would prohibit a  public entity from entering into a contract valued at $100,000 or more with a company to acquire or dispose of services, supplies, information technology, or construction unless the contract includes a written certification that the company do
