Target Barn's New Stagebuilder Tool

Hello David,

McKenzie here from TargetBarn.com. I hope all is well and you were able to get in some fall range time before these cold temps hit!

I'm reaching out to share a resource we have recently released that may be of interest to you and your readers. Stagebuilder is a free stage design tool that makes designing stages for matches and range training easy.

Stagebuilder is accessed through our website [https://www.targetbarn.com/broad-side/stagebuilder/], so you don't have to download anything onto your computer to use it. Some of the features of Stagebuilder include:

  • Easy to use - Simply drag and drop the props onto the stage and arrange how you like.
  • My Stages Library - By creating an account in our Stagebuilder software, you will be able to save stages in your own "My Stages" library to come back to later.
  • Custom Props - We have included a wide selection of props to use in your stages, and you can even upload your own images to use as props. You can also add a text box to the stage to include specific instructions or notes if needed.
  • Stage Descriptions - You are able to include: a stage name, start position, stage number, round count, number of strings, number of paper targets, type of scoring, procedure notes, and setup notes. This description is added to the bottom of the page when you print or save your stage.

We know that some stage design software already out there can be a little complicated and daunting, so we've kept Stagebuilder simple. Although we think this is a great resource for match directors, it's also an awesome tool for shooters simply looking to train and improve. For example, a shooter can create a drill in Stagebuilder and measure their performance at that point in time. As they improve and train, they can routinely come back to that drill to objectively measure their performance under the controlled conditions. It's especially useful for those wanting to improve in USPSA and IDPA because they can create stages that mimic what they might see in a match.

If you find it to be a good resource, we would be extremely grateful if you considered sharing it with your readers. I would also love to hear any feedback on how we can improve it if you find the time to check it out. We've put a lot of time into it and hope that we can continue to improve it for users!

Thank you for your time!

Best,

McKenzie Hanson
