  The Anti-Rights Bills Are Pouring In! Members of the legislature that want to infringe your right to keep and bear arms have already introduced a pile of bills to do just that. He takes pains to explain how unlikely it is, and how horrible it would be, but you don’t need to read too closely between the lines to grok he and those he cites don’t want Donald Trump to be president. Their war gaming for his ouster reads more like a yearning than warning. SPJ accepts nominations for Black Hole Award highlighting violations of the public's right to know

    The  Society of Professional Journalists  launched the  Black Hole Award  to highlight the most heinous violations of the public's right to know. By exposing such abuses, SPJ’s Freedom of Information Committee seeks to educate the public about their rights and call attention to those who would interfere with openness and transparency. SPJ is accepting nominations through Feb. 19.  Please email nominations to  SPJ Region 10 Coordinator Donald W. Meyers . The "winner" will be announced during Sunshine Week, March 12-18.  Previous "winners" include Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin (2022), Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry (2021), Connecticut State Police (2020), President Donald Trump and his administration (2018) and New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission (2017).  Black Hole Award nominations should meet the following criteria: 1.
