(1875 engraving depicting the capture of Fort Ticonderoga by Ethan Allen on May 10, 1775) 1,200 standard capacity 30-round magazines from MAGPUL Industries were supplied free-of-charge courtesy RECOIL magazine to Vermont gun owners in a protest operation appropriately called the “ Green Mountain Airlift .” The magazines were  distributed Saturday  to gun owner rights demonstrators at the statehouse in Montpelier in anticipation of the governor signing a law banning them. They were protesting bans  on magazines, bans on rate-enhancing devices, bans on selling guns to citizens under 21, the end of private sales, due-process trampling confiscation orders, and more proposed infringements in the wings.   With Christmas around the corner and 2023 soon coming to a close, the 2024 New Mexico Legislative Session will be here before we know it. Since handing out coal could create carbon emissions, the Grinch in the Roundhouse is settling for attacking our rights again.  Earlier this week,  the governor announced that she will support a version of Senator Heinrich's rifle ban  introduced in New Mexico. The governor cannot sponsor legislation herself, but we expect to see an anti-gun representative or senator introduce the bill and the governor will then add it to her "call" for the 2024 Session. As a reminder, since the 30 day session in 2024 is a "budget session" anything that is not directly related to the budget must be added to the session agenda by the governor.
