  • What did the Founders mean by “shall not be infringed”?
  • How can past Supreme Court opinions specifying protected arms as those being “in common use at the time” not apply to the types of firearms needed for militia service?

That's apparently a newsworthy tidbit for followers of celebrity tabloid gossipmongers.  Showbiz Spy's  Richard Head  tells readers  Gibson "has admitted he has a dangerous weapon hidden away in his home in case an intruder breaks in during the night and puts his family’s lives at risk." The 54-year-old actor insists there is nothing unusual about his outlook, as in modern society, times have changed to the extent where people need to be 'tooled up' with weapons to defend themselves, their loved-ones and their homes. True enough. There's nothing unusual about that and Gibson is correct--weapons are tools, and we owe it to ourselves and our loved ones to have them and know how to properly use them.     What is the National Rifle Association?

I've heard countless times it's "America's oldest civil rights group". Is that so? I've also heard it's a non profit corporation. It's definitely not making a profit now. I've been told, it's membership is 4million, 5mllion, even 6million members. Or is it less than 3million? The NRA was once a $300 to $400million non profit corporation. What do the books say now? Is the board even allowed to see the books? Or do they have the courage to ask? The most recent numbers I could find were revenues being about $176million, while expenditures were about $209million. (Twitter/Facebook) “An art gallery in Portland, Oregon, has been criticized for displaying a piece of artwork on the window that depicts President Donald Trump’s throat being cut with a knife with the words ‘F**k Trump’ inscribed underneath,”  Newsweek reported Tuesday . “The One Grand Gallery located at 1000 E Burnside Street in Portland, Oregon has a decal of Trump being slashed in the throat with a knife on its window.
