Patriotic Millionaires Call on Leader Schumer and Department of Justice to Initiate Formal Investigation of Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas

Washington, DC – Today, ProPublica published another bombshell report with new revelations of luxury vacations, private jet flights, and other gifts that Justice Clarence Thomas has received over the years from billionaires. 

In response, Morris Pearl, the Chair of the Patriotic Millionaires and a former managing director at BlackRock, Inc., released the following statement:

“Patriotic Millionaires have quite a bit of personal experience with super yachts, private jets, and VIP sky boxes. So we can say with certainty that a Supreme Court justice capable of accepting and concealing 38 luxury trips is incapable of impartially adjudicating much of anything  Whether these extravagant gifts meet the legal definition of bribery or not, the ‘Honorable’ Clarence Thomas is clearly on the take.
Members of the U.S. House and Senate from both parties must work together to investigate the full extent of Clarence Thomas’ corruption.  To do anything less is a dereliction of duty.”
